Revenue by ad format
From estimate to payout
Every mobile network pays in US dollars by bank transfer or PayPal, monthly, once you pass its threshold. Two steps: the network itself, and an account that can receive the money cheaply if your bank cannot.
Top-paying mediation platform. Runs a real-time auction across all major networks to maximize your eCPM.
The most popular mobile ad network. Free to start, massive advertiser demand, and easy SDK integration.
Gives you USD, EUR and GBP account details that ad networks can pay into by bank transfer, then converts at the mid-market rate. The usual choice for developers paid from outside their home currency.
A receiving account that accepts network payouts in USD and other currencies, with local withdrawal in 190+ countries. Common among AdMob and AppLovin publishers outside the US.

What this calculator assumes for AppLovin MAX
AppLovin MAX is not an ad network in the way AdMob is. It is a mediation layer: every impression is auctioned in real time across AppLovin's own demand plus AdMob, Unity, Meta, ironSource, and a dozen others, and the highest bid wins. That competition is why MAX tends to post the highest eCPMs in the industry at scale, and why it does little for a tiny app with too few impressions to attract competitive bids.
The eCPMs here reflect a MAX setup with several networks bidding, on a well-run app with tens of thousands of daily impressions or more. Tier 1 is the US, UK, Canada, and Australia; Tier 2 is Western Europe and developed Asia-Pacific; Tier 3 is the rest. The slider blends between tiers, iOS carries a 30% premium, and category multipliers run from 0.75 for hypercasual to 2.2 for finance apps.
| Format | Tier 1 eCPM | Tier 2 eCPM | Tier 3 eCPM |
|---|---|---|---|
| Rewarded Video | $28.00 | $11.00 | $3.50 |
| Interstitial | $13.00 | $5.00 | $1.60 |
| Banner | $1.00 | $0.35 | $0.12 |
| Native Ad | $4.50 | $1.60 | $0.55 |
These are blended benchmarks for a well-run app, calibrated in June 2026 against published industry reports, not the median publisher. The full method is on the methodology page.

How AppLovin MAX pays
- When: On or around the 15th of the following month, net 15, through Tipalti.
- Minimum: $20 by ACH or PayPal, $150 by wire.
- How: PayPal, ACH, and wire transfer.
The $20 threshold and net-15 timing mean a small app sees its first MAX payment months before its first AdMob payment. The full calendar, the verification steps, and how to receive dollars outside the US are in the AdMob payments guide.
AppLovin MAX questions
Is AppLovin MAX an ad network or a mediation platform?
Mediation, with AppLovin's own network as one of the bidders. You integrate one SDK, connect the networks you want, and MAX runs the auction. Most apps keep AdMob inside MAX as a bidder rather than replacing it, which is where the eCPM lift comes from.
Why does MAX show a higher eCPM than AdMob here?
Because several buyers compete for each impression instead of one. The benchmark reflects that competition at a volume where it works. Below roughly ten thousand daily impressions the auction is thin and the gap narrows or disappears, so a very small app should read the MAX estimate as a ceiling, not a forecast.
Do I need to run AdMob inside MAX?
You do not have to, but almost everyone does. Google's demand is the deepest single source of fill, and losing it lowers both fill rate and eCPM. Adding AdMob as a bidder in MAX keeps that demand and puts everyone else in competition with it.
When does AppLovin pay, and what is the minimum?
Around the 15th of the month after the earnings, net 15, with a $20 minimum by ACH or PayPal and $150 by wire, handled through Tipalti. You submit tax information and a payout profile once, and payouts run automatically after that.
Set up MAX, keep AdMob, sort the payout
MAX and AdMob are both free. If your bank cannot hold US dollars cheaply, Wise gives you an account either one can pay into.
