Revenue by ad format
From estimate to payout
Every mobile network pays in US dollars by bank transfer or PayPal, monthly, once you pass its threshold. Two steps: the network itself, and an account that can receive the money cheaply if your bank cannot.
The most popular mobile ad network. Free to start, massive advertiser demand, and easy SDK integration.
Top-paying mediation platform. Runs a real-time auction across all major networks to maximize your eCPM.
Gives you USD, EUR and GBP account details that ad networks can pay into by bank transfer, then converts at the mid-market rate. The usual choice for developers paid from outside their home currency.
A receiving account that accepts network payouts in USD and other currencies, with local withdrawal in 190+ countries. Common among AdMob and AppLovin publishers outside the US.

What this calculator assumes for Google AdMob
AdMob is where most apps start, and for a lot of them it is where they stay. It is free, the SDK is well documented, fill is close to universal, and Google's advertiser demand covers every country your users could be in. The trade-off is that AdMob on its own serves Google's demand rather than running an auction across other networks, so at scale a mediation layer usually lifts eCPM. The calculator above is preset to AdMob; switch the network to see how the same app fares elsewhere, or open Compare Networks for the full ranking.
The figures behind the estimate are AdMob's typical eCPMs for a well-run app, by format and by audience tier. Tier 1 is the US, UK, Canada, and Australia; Tier 2 is Western Europe and developed Asia-Pacific; Tier 3 is the rest of Asia, Latin America, and Africa. The geographic slider blends between them, iOS gets a 30% premium over Android, and your category applies a multiplier from 0.75 for hypercasual to 2.2 for finance.
| Format | Tier 1 eCPM | Tier 2 eCPM | Tier 3 eCPM |
|---|---|---|---|
| Rewarded Video | $20.00 | $8.00 | $2.50 |
| Interstitial | $9.00 | $3.50 | $1.10 |
| Banner | $0.75 | $0.28 | $0.10 |
| Native Ad | $3.50 | $1.20 | $0.40 |
These are blended benchmarks for a well-run app, calibrated in June 2026 against published industry reports, not the median publisher. The full method is on the methodology page.
Worked examples
Three apps run through the calculator with its default settings: iOS, three rewarded videos, six interstitials, and twenty banner impressions per user per day. Change any input above and the estimate updates instantly.

How Google AdMob pays
- When: Earnings finalize on the 3rd of the following month and are paid on or around the 21st.
- Minimum: $100, or the local equivalent. Balances below it roll into the next month.
- How: EFT bank transfer in most countries, wire transfer, checks where EFT is unavailable, Western Union Quick Cash in some countries, and PayPal for US publishers.
Before the first payment AdMob verifies your identity, mails a PIN to your address, and collects a W-9 or W-8BEN. The full calendar, the verification steps, and how to receive dollars outside the US are in the AdMob payments guide.
Google AdMob questions
Does AdMob pay per click or per impression?
Both, depending on the campaign. Some advertisers pay per thousand impressions, some per click, some per install, and AdMob blends all of it into one effective CPM, which is what this calculator estimates. You do not choose the model; the auction does. That is why the same placement can show a different eCPM every day.
What is a good AdMob eCPM?
It depends on format and country. For a mostly US audience, rewarded video in the $15 to $25 range and interstitials around $8 to $12 are healthy; banners rarely clear a dollar anywhere. With a mostly Asian or Latin American audience, divide those by five to eight. Judge your numbers against the same format and tier, never against a single headline figure.
How much does AdMob pay per 1,000 impressions?
Whatever the eCPM is for that format and audience. At a $9 interstitial eCPM, 1,000 impressions earn $9; at a $0.75 banner eCPM, they earn 75 cents. Multiply impressions per day by eCPM, divide by 1,000, and you have daily revenue, which is the whole of the math the calculator runs.
Why is my real AdMob eCPM lower than this estimate?
The benchmarks describe a well-placed, established app. New accounts start with limited fill while Google learns the inventory, placements users skip earn less, and the first quarter of the year pays 30 to 40% less than the fourth. Give a new integration two to four weeks, then compare by format and geography rather than by the blended number.
